Automating product research without losing focus

Product research quickly becomes permanent noise when too many sources compete for attention. The goal is not to read more, but to make better decisions.

My three-step system

  • Centralize every source in one weekly feed.
  • Classify signals into three categories: opportunity, risk and idea to test.
  • Turn every useful signal into a dated action in the backlog.

Why this approach works

By setting a fixed cadence, constant interruptions are avoided. Connecting research to real decisions keeps the approach impact-oriented.

The right question is not “what is new?” but “what changes a product decision this month?”.
